Here’s some general info about our processes.

Health By Gaia is a company started by a team of investigators who stumbled upon the reality of the US “Sick Care System” which essentially uses prescriptions to mask symptoms of various disorders without assisting or diagnosing the root cause.
In an effort to seek out the possibility of alternatives, a dive into researching the information surrounding Allopathic or Naturopathic medicine, which is the use of various plants, herbs and minerals located in nature that have been known or have shown promise in assisting in healing these disorders and helping to prevent them by taking initiative.
Health By Gaia has worked very hard to find manufacturing partners that check a variety of boxes that we consider to be mandatory. The following are the qualifications that Health By Gaia’s supplements have attained and implemented.
Alternative Medicine
Alternative medicine is a broad term encompassing a variety of medical modalities. Tradition typically supports these and is seldom taught in a Western medical setting. Such modalities range from the ancient Eastern practices of acupuncture and Tai chi to herbal medicine, Reiki, chiropractic manipulation, and more.
These services are often used interchangeably with “alternative medicine,” a designation created in the 1800s that distinguished these modalities as “alternative” to allopathic medicine. Allopathic medicine is also commonly referred to as Western medicine, evidence-based medicine, conventional medicine, or mainstream medicine.
In the nineteenth century, allopathic medicine was based on a practice of opposites, whereas the alternative branch suggested “like cured like.” Present-day differences remain but revolve around a disease-centric (allopathic) versus a whole-body (alternative) approach. Alternative practices focus on stimulating the body’s ability to heal via energy alignment, herbal supplementation, and other balancing techniques. Conversely, allopathic medicine focuses on symptom-specific treatment, typically with pharmacological or invasive methods to remove the offending agent. With ancient records supporting alternative modalities and rigorous clinical trials supporting allopathic modalities, there continues to be disagreement over which method is proven beneficial and safe.
With the increase in research regarding alternative medical therapies, more and more physicians are embracing an integrative medical approach. Utilizing the benefits of both Eastern and Western practices for particular ailments works best. For example, alternative approaches lend themselves to treating vague symptoms, which Western medicine lacks definitive treatment options, such as fatigue, cold or flu symptoms, generalized gastrointestinal issues, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)[13]
Other ailments necessitate the involvement of antibiotics and/or surgery, such as appendicitis and certain bacterial infections. Some patients will seek out alternative medicine techniques initially, particularly if they are unlikely to cause harm or are less invasive, and reserve more allopathic remedies for instances in which alternative medicine has not been successful or situations that are more urgent. Alternative medicine has been shown to be helpful in augmenting treatment for mood disorders or behavior challenges in patients with dementia.[14][15]
Remaining open-minded and tailoring treatment therapies to individual patients, their interests, and belief systems proves the most beneficial healing method. Finally, staying up to date on research supporting or refuting all types of medical treatment is vital to providing effective and appropriate care for your patients.

Homeopathic Medicine
A therapeutic system that uses small doses of various substances to stimulate autoregulatory and self-healing processes. Homeopathy selects substances by matching a patient’s symptoms with symptoms produced by these substances in healthy individuals. Medicines are prepared by serial dilution and shaking, which proponents claim imprints information into water. Although many conventional physicians find such notions implausible, homeopathy had a prominent place in 19th-century health care and has recently undergone a worldwide revival.
In the United States, patients who seek homeopathic care are more affluent and younger and more often seek treatment for subjective symptoms than those who seek conventional care. Homeopathic remedies were allowed by the 1939 Pure Food and Drug Act and are available over the counter. Some data–both from randomized, controlled trials and laboratory research–show effects from homeopathic remedies that contradict the contemporary rational basis of medicine. Three independent systematic reviews of placebo-controlled trials on homeopathy reported that its effects seem to be more than placebo, and one review found its effects consistent with placebo.
There is also evidence from randomized, controlled trials that homeopathy may be effective for the treatment of influenza, allergies, postoperative ileus, and childhood diarrhea. Evidence suggests that homeopathy is ineffective for migraine, delayed-onset muscle soreness, and influenza prevention. There is a lack of conclusive evidence on the effectiveness of homeopathy for most conditions. Homeopathy deserves an open-minded opportunity to demonstrate its value by using evidence-based principles, but it should not be substituted for proven therapies.

One of the most important things to keep in mind is that nothing is considered to be a “cure-all” or definite fix in relation to disorders. It is also recommended that you discuss any changes with a medical doctor before changing or stopping any medications.
Additionally, one of the main reasons people tend to not see positive turn arounds is because they stop the routine prior to the body’s ability to utilize the implemented nutrients. It is recommended that you continue the routine for multiple weeks if you wish to see the desired effect.
Last but not least, the one people hate to hear. While implementing natural alternatives can be a pathway to a better overall health journey, to get the maximum benefit from any routine it is recommended that you implement diet and exercise into your plan to help your body readjust to a homeostatic dynamic of physical activity and nutrition. This tends to be a hard one, but it is also critically important for the maximum effects to be seen.
Be aware of what you are being told by other people. Someone graduating from a prestigious college and holding a degree doesn’t necessarily mean that they are any more qualified or that they necessarily have your best interest at heart. Investigate and be resourceful. And utilize data sets for information instead of websites that claim to summarize data for you.
Be aware that in just as many cases that something is supposedly deemed ineffective, there are several studies that will show the opposite. It just depends on what the people who run that particular system which to make “public.” Always do research and consult with a doctor if you are unsure.
(Please do not take the previous sentence to disqualify the achievements of all Medical Doctors. Many doctors are well educated and have the ability to successfully navigate your general health).
We recommend using PubMed and the NIH to search research articles and studies in relation to the herbal substance or mineral you are interested in learning about. These articles may not directly support testing in humans (as for some reason there never are funded studies that follow positive discoveries in animals), but it doesn’t necessarily mean that it is not worth trying.
